Free Concert by the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight
7 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2007 – Front Lawn of the Capitol
Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the Capitol and enjoy the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight performing in concert on the Capitol lawn on Sunday, July 8 at 7 p.m.
This band features 45 full-time musicians and vocalists. Its music program includes show tunes, marches, patriotic songs, and a special music salute to the many veterans of all the military services.
Based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the Band of Flight travels over 70,000 miles a year and presents over 450 performances. For more information about the band, see: www.bandofflight.wpafb.af.mil/
The Friends of the Capitol will have a tent on the Capitol lawn where they will make available Capitol mementos, as well as drinks and snacks.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and join us for an evening of music on the beautiful Capitol lawn. The Michigan Capitol Committee and the Friends of the Capitol are co-sponsoring this event.
